    Most of our work involves the development of Special Purpose Machines, which are tailored to process-specific requirements needed to fully optimize returns. As a result, there is a large amount of R&D required to investigate already tried and tested methods only requiring some minor modification, or entirely new methods requiring complete engineering study from theoretical calculations and development testing to final design and manufacture.

    It is evident that to survive in industry, a company must challenge the status quo, always looking for more profitable methods of achieving their goals, or fall behind the competition.

    The key reasons for establishing Granroth were the lack of high-level design capability within the country and existing global suppliers did not have in-depth design consideration for fully optimizing manufacturing economic principles, such as value stream maps and OEE performance for specific processes, due to:

    ⇒ Attempt to sell Standard Equipment designed for wide operating criteria, not optimised for specific needs.

    This has led to the development of a strong design team with no compromise on education and training. We have degreed Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electro-Mechanical and Electronic Engineers covering all aspects of mechanical, electrical and software design.
